Private Full Day Bangkok Highlights: City, Temples and Klong Tour
Start the day visiting two of the most impressive sights in the city. The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is an enormous Buddha covered in gold leaf and lying majestically on its side. The Grand Palace has no equal and is a must see for every visitor to Bangkok. Built by King Rama I in 1782 it was the centre of power for more than 150 years; today it is Bangkok's most celebrated landmark. Within the compound is the Temple of The Emerald Buddha - Wat Pra Kaew - which houses Thailand's most precious image of the Lord Buddha. Lunch will be served in a Thai restaurant. Next, travel along the picturesque Chao Phraya River and through the klongs (canals) of Thonburi. Observe and photograph the serene family homes and temples along the waterways which gave the city the name Venice of the East. Finally, pay a visit to one of the city's most photographed sites, the shimmering Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). The majestic shrine has a pagoda of 76 m high. It is decorated with glazed ceramic pieces that reflect the sun's rays and give the temple its name. Duration: 6 Hours

Depart early morning for the two-hour drive to the Damnoen Saduak floating market. En route first visit at Maeklong Railway Market, which offers everything you expect a Thai market to offer but the Maeklong Railway Market differentiates itself from the other markets by having a railway located in the middle. Then we continue drive to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, to see the traditional way of selling and buying goods in Thailand. Tour duration: 5 hours

LAND ONLY PACKAGE
VEI encourages clients to purchase your airfare online when possible. Group air contracts are very restrictive (some airlines more than others). When purchasing your own airfare, you are able to select your seats, pay for extra leg rooms seats, pay for First and Business Class and use credit cards to obtain travel points.
VEI will provide the group flight itinerary in early January 2024. With this information clients who choose Land Only packages can purchase the same flights as the group or choose flights from your home city. For those that select flights that don't match the group's you may be responsible for your airport transfers.
For Land Only packages, the domestic flights from Bangkok to Phuket are INCLUDED in the advertised price.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
If for some reason you are unable to attend your highly anticipated trip, travel insurance can offer a means to recoup invested monies. Your reason for canceling could be 100 percent legitimate, but our travel company has a no refund policy because funds are used by the Thailand suppliers to hold your space for a year. Although VEI will be sympathetic, it is not possible to provide refunds. This is the power of a travel insurance policy. Subject to the policy purchased and its accompanying terms and conditions, filing a claim provides an avenue to recover your hard-earned money.

A visa is not required to travel to Thailand. A valid US passport is required to travel and the expiration date must exceed June 2025.
